Nimlok Tradepoints:
Plan a Competitive Intelligence Campaign - Part 3

The goal of asking the following product/service-based questions is to establish how you can differentiate your offerings. The more you know about your competitive products/services, the better off you'll be. The tradeshow floor is an excellent place to gather this type of information.

Product/Service-based questions:

  1. What is the range or scope of their products/services?
  2. What are their product/service features/specifications?
  3. What are their most recent product/service introductions?
  4. How do competitors deliver orders on schedule?
  5. What changes are taking place in competitors' make/buy strategies?
  6. What new materials are being used in the industry? Do they provide a cost advantage?
  7. How have competitors incorporated cost savings?
  8. Who are our competitors' suppliers?
  9. How easy are their products to install or maintain?
